Marlin Peaceman Hira, born in Sylhet, Bangladesh. In his childhood, he began to admire the astounding invention of the camera. He was always eager to discover its secrets. As years passed, he pursued his graduation and established his own business (“Creators”). In order to run his business he was required to travel to remote places all around Bangladesh and India.
Because the product itself is a traditional hand-loom product, he got a chance to explore and was overwhelmed by the simplicity of the lifestyle of the craftsmen. Soon, he rediscovered his passion for photography. In this high-tech industrial era, traditional handloom industries are extinct, so he wanted to reconnect the tradition with this high-tech industrial life and show the life of those people to the world through photography. His photography portraits the simplicity, emigrant nature and harshness of those individuals and their work. He was inspired by Josef Koudelka, Munem Wasif, and Josef Sudek.
Currently, he resides in Bangladesh and frequently travels for assignments. He has successfully
completed a foundation and introductory course on photography at Pathshala South Asian
Media Institution, Bangladesh. He is an accomplished, self-assured photographer. He provided
guidance on product design and brand promotion as a Creative Expatiate for Fume s.r.o. from 2014 to 2021
